The test is written at the NHBRC regional office you selected during registration under supervision.
+ How many chances do I get to write the NHBRC test?
Maximum 2 attempts. If you fail twice, you cannot attempt again. You may appoint someone else with a Technical Manager letter and restart the application process. No limit on new appointments.
+ Can I take the test questions & answers PDF into the NHBRC exam room?
No. Only the hardcover SANS Home Builders manual and your ID book are allowed. You may highlight and take notes in the manual for reference.
+ What’s the difference between the R87.82 and the R3,168.15 home builder’s manual?
The R87.82 manual does not contain answers, making it less useful. The R3,168.15 SANS Home Builders manual contains all answers and practical guidance.
